Treat Problems As Opportunities to Learn Something New

Life has never been and will never be a smooth sailing ahead. We shall face hardships and experience heartbreaks throughout our growing years. These predicaments may be relating to our relationships with our significant other, our career, education, dreams, health, or our goals attainment. One would have to face challenges and difficult times throughout his journey before embracing victory in any of his / her endeavours.

Since obstacles are inevitable then why are most of us grumbling or complaining over them when they occur? Do these reciprocal actions to the problems faced help to solve the issue? Obviously they do not. Hence, instead of reacting to those problems in a negative way, why don’t we respond to them in a constructive manner instead? Remember, the problems or failures that we face, whether big or small, complex or simple, are actually OPPORTUNITIES to learn something new. They help us grow better in the things that we do or draw us closer to the goals that we pursue. They are not there to pin you down (although you might find yourself being knocked and pinned down hard by life), but they are there to lift you higher, as how Rumi once said “If you are irritated by every rub, how will you then be polished?”.

Therefore, we all should change our mindset from this second onwards from complaining over or even running away from problems to treating them as opportunities to learn something new.
